A gorgeous little find. Best restaurant in the Sunapee region. A food menu to please any palate. Atmosphere is casual-nice, and quite clean. Service is quite good. The bartenders know their craft. The chef is very creative, always with a new special up his sleeve (ever had kangaroo tartare?) Pricing is commensurate with what you get. A burger costs what it should; filet mignon costs what it should.
This is a must-see if you’re anywhere near Sunapee.

Absolutely beautiful. Go during sunset it will not disappoint with the view of the lake. Very classy feel but not formal. Very attentive staff and food is fabulous. Wine menu has a lot of options. Really impressive. Reservations highly encouraged.

Rooms: Very spacious and clean. Also quiet from nearby rooms. Nearby activities: A lot of art shops and Kingswood center of arts. Walkability: Easy to walk to nearby places. Food & drinks: Excellent Bistro pub style restaurant. Awesome food

The baked haddock was probably the best I had ever had. My compliments to the chef. (My wife had the short rib stroganoff and that was exquisite, too!)

We had a party of 8 there yesterday for the Thanksgiving Buffet and it was fabulous!! Everyone in our party was still talking about it today. The barn looked so festive with the holiday decor. The service was efficient and friendly and very accommodating to our 4-year-old. And the food!!! There was a wide variety, and everything was delicious. I am still dreaming about the dessert buffet. We are already planning to to back for East and Thanksgiving 2025. Thank you, O Bistro, for making our Thanksgiving so enjoyable.

My husband and I had dinner here last night, and we were blown away. We chose the crispy orange chicken as our appetizer and it was very tasty, the presentation was also great. My husband got the boneless ribeye, cooked perfectly and tasted spectacular. I got the 12-ounce filet, which was also perfectly cooked, so flavorful and tender. For our sides, we got Parmesan French fries, lobster macaroni & cheese and the truffle whipped potatoes. The staff was very friendly, and our server went above and beyond. The food was outstanding. We will definitely be back soon!

We dined downstairs in the lounge area and were very happy! The food was excellent, and our waiter was, friendly and polite providing good service without neglecting or over attentiveness allowing us to enjoy our meal. We had the Halibut special (outstanding) and the baked haddock along with candied pork belly appetizer. YOU CANNOT GO wrong at the Canoe restaurant.

My sister and I we’re on a leaf peeping trip. We sat at the bar it was busy and didn’t have a reservation. The service was excellent!! The pork chop was tender and juicy! Probably the best I’ve ever had! We had several people taking care off us and everyone was friendly! We would definitely go back again while in the area!
