Join this special meeting of the Writing Group, with guest Alexandria Peary, Poet Laureate of New Hampshire!Peary will deliver her talk, “Banishing Audience Demons and Reader Ghosts Through Mindfulness”, live over Zoom. Are you your own worst critic when it comes to your writing? Do you lug around criticism that you received maybe years ago—or even last week? You’ll discuss how to notice and manage negative self-talk and distance yourselves from tricky audiences-in-the-head. This session provides an overview of mindful writing, as well as hands-on practice with techniques easily replicated later at home. This program is brought to you by a grant through NH Humanities.
