NEA Big Read: Evening Sky Watch in the Library Garden with the New Hampshire Astronimical Society

Join the New Hampshire Astronomical Society in the Laconia Public Library garden for an evening Sky Watch hosted by the New Hampshire Astronomical Society (NHAS). This all-ages event will take place on Thursday, October 19 at 6 pm, (rain date Thursday, October 26 at 6 pm). NHAS will give participants a tour of the night sky using telescopes. Participants are welcome to bring their own telescope or share the ones provided. All participants will have the opportunity to look at stars and other celestial bodies found in the night sky. The Sky Watch is being held in conjunction with New Hampshire’s 2023 Big Read. Laconia Public Library, in partnership with New Hampshire Humanities, supports NH’s 2023 Big Read of The Bear by Andrew Krivak. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
