Felted Seated Bluebird With Libby Mortensen

Join artist Libby Mortensen for a felting class on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm. Students will learn to make their own sitting bluebird (about 5” long, without legs/feet) to display for spring while learning basic wool sculpting techniques, including wrapping and shaping, blending colors, and surface felting.

Learn about basic tools, felting surfaces, gauges of needles and their best uses, and types of wool best suited for needle felting. Tuition is $35.00 per student, and the material fee is $25.00 The material fee includes a $10.00 ‘tool kit’ that includes needles and a foam pad. The ‘supply pack’ includes wool, wire, and what is needed for the actual project. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please contact the gallery at 603-279-7920 to register.
