Strafford Wind Symphony

The Strafford Wind Symphony will be performing in Cate Park from 7-9pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the evening with family and friends.

This symphonic concert band performs a variety of traditional music for wind ensemble as well as the more contemporary “pops” pieces that summer audiences love. They are a volunteer musical organization that rehearses weekly in Rochester, NH. Their membership is comprised of music professionals and non-professionals of all ages and walks of life. The Strafford Wind Symphony performs a wide array of musical styles from wind band standards to patriotic marches, film medleys, broadway classics, vocal features and more. The Strafford Wind Symphony exists to provide opportunities for enhanced growth and lifelong musical expression through challenging musical experiences for its members. In addition, SWS provides musical educational assistance for younger musicians. Their performances entertain a wide range of audiences and also support the history and heritage of the American Community Band.
